Henry Trotman was born in Coln Rogers and his parents were John and Sarah Trotman.

There is a record of a John Trotman marrying Sarah Day in Coln Rogers on the 13th of October 1804.

'Kezia' (Cassia) is Hebrew and means cinnamon. It was the name of Job's second daughter (42:14), born after prosperity had returned to him.

Chedworth is about 54 miles north West of Coln Rogers with the Foss Way running between them.

Sources

In the 1851 census of Rendcomb, there is a Sarah Trotman aged 74 (i.e. b.1777) living on parish relief from Cirencester. Living with her is a William Trotman 51 gardener, Rendcomb. This is a possible match for our Sarah above.

There is a death registed for Sarah Day in the district of Northleach in 4th quarter of 1870, aged 88. However, "our" Sarah Day would be registered as Sarah Trotman. This indicates that there was another Sarah Day, possibly her married name.
