Little Compton is now in Warwickshire, (Grid ref: SP261302 Postcode district: GL5) but the post code is Gloucesterhire and on the map appears to be in West Oxfordshire. It is just of the A44 between Morton-in-the-Marsh and Chipping Norton. "It was originally in Gloucestershire but was transferred to Warwickshire, in 1845, and to the Diocese of Oxford in 1919. It is a secluded and attractive village, many houses being built of the Cotswold stone which is characteristic of this area."
