I have obtained a copy of the marriage certificate of Evan Jones to Rachel Jones. The marriage took place in the Parish of Worthen in the county of Salop (Shropshire,
) but the registration district of Montgomery. The marriage took place on the 9th of May 1846. Evan is a Miner, Evan's father is John Jones a Thatcher. Neither Evan nor Rachel can write. Witnesses are Sarah Jones and Stephen Salter.

, mother Elizabeth Jones. Source FHL Number 506792. But, it is a common name.
