I have obtained a copy of the marriage certificate of Evan and Rachel, the marriage took place in the Parish of Worthen in the county of Salop (Shropshire,
) but the registration district of Montgomery. The marriage took place on the 9th of May 1846. Both Evan and Rachel are listed as "off ful age", Evan is a Miner and Rachel a Servant. Evan's father is John Jones a Thatcher, Rachel's father is Job Jones a Miner. Neither Evan nor Rachel can write. Witnesses are Sarah Jones and Stephen Salter.
