(England) he is 44, his wife Mary is 45, Mary was born in Worthen, however David was born in Wentnor. David is a Lead Miner.
David and Mary's eldest son, William, is 18 and also a Lead Miner, their daugher Jesse is 16 and a Housemaid (domestic servant) both William and Jesse were born in Worthen.
The remaining three children, Mary Ann 13, George 9 and Edward 4 are all born in Shelve, Shropshire,
.
I have a copy of a marriage certificate from the parish of Worthen (in the chapel of hope), for a marriage on the 19th of April 1859, between
- David Davies, 23 years old, a miner, father Richard Davies a miner and
- Mary Ragin (the handwriting is unclear on "Ragin") also 23, father John Ragin a miller.
David signed, Mary could not write. Witnesses were John Ragin (who also could not write) and Anne Davies.
Click here for David and Mary's daughter Jesse.
