IGI records the marriage of Richard Davies and Mary Kirby (source fiche 456410) and gives Richard's date of birth as 1698.
Research by my relatives in the Davies family (pre-Internet) indicates a record a record of Richard's birth in the late 1600's, but the final digit was indistinct, it might be 1693, 1697 or 1698.
I do not have access to the original research done by my relatives in the Davies family, so I can not cross check them.
Researchers in the USA have registered Richard and Mary and their children with IGI, these researchers are decended from their daughter Mary Davies who married Richard Morris.
Date: At this time the year changed on the first of April, so the first of March was at th end of 1721 using the calendar in use at the time, but whould be at the start of 1722 using the modern calendar. The calendar change took place in 1752. Thus with a year running from April to March, a birth in October 1721 would be before a christening in March
My original information from relatives (which I first published on the web in 1999) put Richard's son Richard's date of birth as 1721, There is a record of Richard on the IGI christened in Worthen Shropshire. But, no linkage to parents or children. There are lots of alternative matches for Richard, many in Shropshire, inlcuding Richard, christened in Westbury Shrops 15 May 1715, father Richard mother Mary. or 1716
There is a marriage recorded in IGI for a Richard Davies to Mary Furstone on the 10th of July 1732, even on the basis of the revised date of birth Richard would have been only 16. IGI gives children for this marriage and they not match those researched by my relatives in the Davies family.
The had written family tree I have, gives Richard Davies born 1693/1695/1698 and his son Richard Davies born 1721 and his son Thomas Davies is born in 1746. There is no records of marriages before Thomas Davies marries Mary Parry in 1773.
Richard Davies, born about 1690 in Shrewsbury, married to Mary Kirbey or Mary Cerbey, born about 1694 in Shrewsbury.
Richard and Mary are recorded as the parents of Mary Davies, born 1716, and christened 18th November 1716, in St.Chads parish, Shrewsbury.
Note: There are a lot of Mary Kirby's and Mary Kirbey's living in the 18th century in the IGI, and there are a lot of Richard Davies's and Richard Davis's.
