Date: At this time the year changed on the first of April, so the first of March was at th end of 1721 using the calendar in use at the time, but whould be at the start of 1722 using the modern calendar. The calendar change took place in 1752. Thus with a year running from April to March, a birth in October 1721 would be before a christening in March.

Richard Davies 1721

My original information (which I first published on the web in 1999) put Richard's son Richard's date of birth as 1721, but IGI now have it as 1715.

There is a marriage recorded in IGI for a Richard Davies to Mary Furstone on the 10th of July 1732, even on the basis of the revised date of birth Richard would have been only 16. IGI gives children for this marriage and they do not match those researched by my relatives in the Davies family.
