In the 1841 census, a Peter Norbury, a coal miner, aged 35, is living on Butt Lane Audley, with Eizabeth Norbury aged 33.

IGI has a record of a marriage of a Peter Norbury to Elizabeth Hallworth on the 26th of November 1793 at Alderly, Cheshire.

IGI has a record of a Peter Norbury being born and christened in Winwick (then in Lancashire, now in Cheshire) in 1805 and again in 1806. A Peter Norbury born in 1797, in Wilmslow Cheshire and in 1798 in Halton Cheshire.

Norbury's seem to be clustered in Cheshire, but are elsewhere also. The name may derive the from a Village of Norbury. There are Norbury's in : Cheshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Shropshire, and Greater London! The first three are quite near Audley and the fourth is near enough for there to be a connection!
